Radio engineering is a part of the scientific and technical field that combines the physical principles, methods and means aimed at research, design and the operation of systems, sets and devices made to transmit, receive and process the information about the environment, natural and manmade objects and to manipulate these in order to change their properties using electromagnetic oscillations and waves.

Master program is a higher professional level of an academic degree. The level of academic and scientific knowledge provided to students in their respective field is more advanced and specialized. A master program is designed for those graduate students who aspire to become scientists, top-qualification specialists and teachers. Another two years of study at a university advance the knowledge and improve the skills and abilities in the selected field that one requires in their future work.

The academic activities of the master program are individualized and supported by the unique curriculum of the master program student and a large portion of independent research work to be made by the student both in the faculty’ laboratories and in the field-specific research institutes and companies operating in technology- and knowledge-intensive national economy sectors of the radio engineering domain.

The students receive advanced knowledge in the signal processing theory, design of microwave band radio engineering appliances, get hands-on experience in designing radio engineering systems and VLSI-based digital communication systems using contemporary computer-assisted design platforms. A master degree holder in radio engineering is capable of choosing the methods and means to solve a given task, models the objects and processes in the radio engineering appliances in order to analyze and optimize their parameters using available research instruments including the standard application suites, designs experimental research programs, selects the technical means and processes the results.

The graduates of the master program may continue their education with a TUSUR’s postgraduate program or that of any other higher education institution.

Requirements to master program applicants

For a successful completion of the academic master program in radio engineering, an applicant must know the fundamentals of radio engineering in the scope stipulated by the state education standards for higher education and possess a state-issued higher education document of at least bachelor’s level degree. The individuals in possession of a bachelor’s or higher degree who are willing to complete this master program shall be enrolled based on the results of their admission examination.

General requirements to master program applicants

For a successful completion of a principal academic master program, an applicant must possess the knowledge in the respective domain in the scope stipulated by the state education standards for higher education and a state-issued higher education document (degree) of at least bachelor’s level.

Those willing to complete master programs shall be enrolled based on the results of their admission examination in the academic disciplines selected by the administering department.
